This job had a few problems and limitations that we needed to overcome from the start. Firstly the hallway was initially over-tiled with ceramic tiles and as a result the old cement adhesive needed to be removed from the original tiles. Then there was a set of radiator pipes cut through the width of the floor.

The kitchen had a series of old damp sections that had re-calcified efflorescence within the tile body and naturally a lot of deep oil staining which is quite common on these old floors.
