Cleaned Victorian / Edwardian floors are far more valuable than carpet or laminate floor, they are also more hygienic if kept clean. Plus they are a real feature to any room.

We think it's important for owners of these floors to realise their importance and value, it really is no good getting the local handyman or friend down the pub to tackle the work; it'll be worth nothing as a result!

Our aim is the make your floor look as good as it possibly can with the minimum of inconvenience to your daily routine. Deep cleaning, sealing and coating is largely dependant on the current condition of the floor and allowing for full drying of any products; on average floors take 1 - 2 days to clean to our quality level (dependant on size etc)

Restoration and tile replacement takes considerably longer and can be highly involved. Any reclaimed tiles need to be manually dressed before they can be re-laid, otherwise they do not fit correctly. Old mortar beds need to be reduced enough to allow the tile and the correct thickness of adhesive to be applied. New tiles need to be cut to imperial sizes to ensure accuracy and once all that has been completed, we then clean the floor.

Again this is dependant on the size and current condition of the tiles and grout. Deep cleaning, sealing and coating is not particularly expensive; especially when you consider how much value your adding to your property. Then there's the benefit that your floor is far easier to keep clean afterwards.

Restoration is naturally far more expensive simply due to the materials required and the amount of skilled labour required to do a professional job. Restoration work can takes days into weeks and really is tile work to its highest level. It really comes down to how much you care about your floor, those in the know (architects, estate agents, developers etc.) have their floors restored without a moments hesitation because they know they'll get their investment back.

We have worked on many different sized floors over the years. From small entrances measuring less than a metre squared through to huge banqueting halls. Hallways and corridors are always very popular, so are quarry tile kitchens and store rooms.

The most important thing about these floors for us is their preservation and finished look, really any size of floor can look amazing if done professionally.

No. We never have or will sell reclaimed tiles, it's just not what we are about. We do use reclaimed tiles that we know have been removed professionally and under an ethical basis.

The majority of our work is through recommendations and repeat business so our reputation usually speaks for itself. But we are more than happy to do test squares to show you realistically how clean your floor could be.

Forget about all those high-pressure vacuum cleaner salesmen emptying rubbish on your floor; we don't need to do that. We just show you what's possible.

We need very little electricity as we've invested in cordless machinery; it's far more energy efficient. But we do need power for our vacuums and if it's a larger floor we use a larger machine, a single domestic socket is usually more than enough.

That's a closely guarded secret to be honest. Most of our products have been designed and/or tweaked especially to our requirements to ensure that we are as effective as humanly possible and that the products promote and protect the floors we work on, more than the competition.
